Beyond Double Mountain

Beyond Double Mountain is the first of two novels which follow the adventures of Caleb Thomason, who finds himself a fugitive from the law in 1870's Texas. An accidental shooting puts him on a trail which will take him from San Antonio through the wilderness of western Texas, eventually leading to Dodge City, Kansas. On the way, he meets the beautiful, but tragic Sparrow, and falls in love.
